Originally from Columbus, Ohio, I'm a 2020 graduate of the Dual BA program between Columbia University in NYC and Sciences Po in Reims, France, where I studied human rights and education. After getting my teaching license in high school English, I moved across the pond to Scotland, where I obtained a Master's of Science in Education Futures from the University of Edinburgh.
Having worked in both schools and educational nonprofits in the US and abroad, I am dedicated to ensuring that young people and adult students can access programming that empowers them and their communities.
I leapt into the woodworking world in September 2025, joining the 6-month Foundations of Woodworking course at the Port Townsend School of Woodworking, and enthusiastically joining the school's staff team as a spring/summer shop tech shortly after graduating. I have so far loved bringing my creative eye, classroom experience, and newfound passion for wood craftsmanship to the position.
When I'm not prepping wood for classes, you can find me searching for wishing rocks at Fort Worden beach, collaging with every piece of paper I come into contact with, planning camping trips on the Peninsula, and devising recipes to use up all my produce before it goes bad.
Feel free to have a look around at some of my recent programming work and woodworking projects and please don't hesitate to reach out!
